• Gritty Tallow? If it experiences extreme temperature changes - the tallow & carrier oils can separate. It’s still just fine to use! Either warm up between your fingers to melt before applying - or you can melt the whole jar on low heat in a double broiler or microwave, let cool to soft and whip again or use unwhipped!

During the warmer summer months, we take extra precautions when shipping our whipped tallow products to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Tallow is a natural, temperature-sensitive product that can melt or soften during transit if exposed to high heat. To protect its quality and texture, we often use insulated packaging and cold packs—especially for longer or warmer routes.
